You’ve taken a step towards creating a more authentic, memorable, and impactful narrative about your career—and about yourself.

When we’re asked questions like “what do you do?” or given prompts such as “tell me about yourself,” it can put us in an uncomfortable position.

If we don’t have a story to tell, we leave it up to chance that we’ll have the energy (and the words) to answer the question in a way we can be proud of. As a result, we can fluster in interviews or social settings—and launch into what others might want to hear. We're here to build your trust in your authentic story.

A story is a connected set of facts, events, and reflections, that tell another person who you are. When I lead people to create their own Career Story, it’s with the goal of creating better alignment between who you are and who you want to be.

Learning Objectives

You’ll have a career story when, you’re able to tell a story of your career in a way that people connect with and remember. When you can tell a story that shows you understand yourself, the people who hear it will feel a stronger connection to you.

These are our course learning objectives:

You’ll identify & structure your core values, so that they’re easy to recall and share.
You’ll draw connections between your values and your best experiences, so that you can convey this clearly to others.
You’ll practice soliciting feedback so that you can affirm what you’re known for and what it’s like to work with you.
You’ll create a career mission statement, so that you can communicate the direction you see the world moving in.
You’ll show your work by drafting a written version of your story, so that you can practice telling your story and capture iterative feedback.

As a result, you’ll be able to craft a clear, memorable narrative on demand—so that you can confidently answer questions like:
