✏️ Preparation:
→ Block 15-20 minutes; plan to complete the exercise in one sitting.
→ If you finish quickly — force yourself to use the full time and see what else comes to mind.
⛈ Part 1: Values Brainstorm
- Brainstorm (write down) as many of your values as you can think of
- goal is to come up with at least 8-12
- values may be “lived” or aspirational values (just because you don’t always get it right doesn’t mean you don’t value it.)
- Use any words or phrases you want to; they only need to make sense to you!
- If you’re struggling to come up with values, check out Brené Brown’s list here: https://brenebrown.com/resources/dare-to-lead-list-of-values/

📊 Part 2: Sorting Exercise
- With your list of 20+ values, you’ll sort them into 3-5 groups
- No rule on how to categorize these, just go with your instinct — which ones feel like they could go together?
- You’re creating a “geography of your values”

📛 Part 3: Name the Groups
- Give your own title to each of the 3-5 groups
- No rule on how to name them, feel free to get creative!
- e.g. Key value, creative naming, song or movie title, colors, etc.)
- This is just for you, so pick something that resonates
